Dr. Patricia Carrington receives ACEP Award, VAPat smiles as she displays the 2015 Special Recognition Award she received from the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP) in honor of her work in the field of Energy Psychology.

The Award reads:

Patricia Carrington, PhD, Special Recognition Award, The Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology recognizes Patricia Carrington for her many years of innovating and promoting energy psychology methods.

What is the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP)?

This association began in 1999 as a non-profit organization founded by leading professionals in the field of energy psychology in order to integrate health practices in this field. It is presently the largest energy psychology organization in the world although other respected organizations in this field (such as the AAMET in the U.K.) exist internationally, ACEP, which is the established leader in the United States, has many international members and provides the most widely attended energy psychology conferences in the world.

What is Energy Psychology?

Energy psychology (EP) is a group of integrative approaches to psychotherapy, healthcare treatment, and personal coaching many of which are derived from ancient mind-body healing traditions which have been used for thousands of years.

Comprehensive Energy Psychology (CEP) involves all three major components of the human bio-energetic system: meridians, chakras, and the biofield. This powerful combination facilitates rapid positive change and optimal psychotherapeutic outcomes, and is aligned with the latest findings from neuroscience and traumatology. With many controlled research studies to date, EP meets the criteria of a designated “evidence-based treatment” in the health field.

ACEP Today

The ACEP currently has over 1,200 licensed mental health professionals and allied health practitioners as members from around the world.  These individuals are dedicated to applying energy psychology methods to help relieve their patients or clients of their suffering and to enhance their performance by assisting  them to access their highest potential.

The ACEP also provides education in ethics, research methodology, plus certification programs and humanitarian aid.

Foremost among the techniques espoused by the organization is Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) which has been at the forefront of the Energy Psychology field since its development in the mid 1990’s.

As one of the pioneers and an innovator in EFT since its inception, ACEP has awarded Dr. Carrington, on more than one occasion, for her outstanding contributions to the Energy Psychology field.
